Wrapping Sissy's Gifts
Jada used her own personal money to buy some small gifts for Cadence this year. So I took Cadence to the store and let her pick out some stuff for Jada just from her. When we got home we wrapped them and I let her fill out the tags. She really looks like she is concentrating and knows exactly what she is writing. Such sweet girls.

Our new Puppy!
Yes, you read it right, we got a new puppy. I just can't stand driving past free puppies in Walmart parking lot and seeing such cute little faces and thinking that noone wants them. Well, after I picked him up I called John immediately when I got home and apologized. I started trying to find him a good home. But then we ALL got attached to him. Even John loves this puppy. He is a black lab/blue heeler mix. John says he is a Blue Lab or Black Heeler...lol. Anyways, he is so smart and such a good dog. He is only 11 weeks old and we have had him for almost 2 weeks. He is almost completely house trained, sits, shakes, lays down and rolls over on command. Is he not adorable?
We named him Bryant, his nickname is Bear...Bear Bryant... :)

Jada's Christmas Party
Jada had her Christmas party at school on the last day before Christmas vacation. It was really good. All of the kids in her class are so respectful and well behaved. She loves her teacher...and I do too. She is one of the best teachers you could ask for...
Children's Christmas Play
The Children's Choir did a wonderful Christmas play at church this year. It was called "The Mystery of the Manger". I was so proud of Jada and our children's group. Here are just a few pictures from the play...
Cookie Swap
We had a Cookie Swap with the Mommy and Me group. Everyone brought cookies and we snacked on them and then everyone got to take home a goody bag with some of everyone's cookies in it. We made reindeer cookies. Aren't they cute!!??!!

Princess in her Castle
As I mentioned in a previous post, Cadence got a Princess Castle Tent from my mother for her birthday. She was really fighting going to sleep last night so I asked her if she wanted to sleep in her castle and she was so excited. I snuck into her room after she fell asleep to get a few pictures of my princess in her princess castle. She is so sweet!!

Roll Tide!!
As I'm sure all of you know, this past weekend was also the Iron Bowl. My little Alabama cheerleader was actually really into it all. She got so excited and clapped and cheered. Jada was with my aunt so we don't have any pictures of her but she had a great time with them. For all those Auburn fans out there...my deepest sympathy but ya know, It Is What It Is. Roll Tide!! Bama - 36 Auburn - 0!!!!!

After a big play!

Okay, enough pictures already!

This may come as a shock to some of you,
but I get this look often from her.

Still #1!

Thanksgiving Traditions
This post is out of order but here goes anyway. I decided to start a new tradition a few years ago on Thanksgiving. What we do is we make a homemade apple pie. Then we use cookie cutters or cut out ourselves different things that we are thankful for out of the dough. We put those things on top of the pie and bake it so that is our Thanksgiving apple pie. Some things we put on the pie...a cross for Jesus, people for our family and friends, a house for our home, dog, cat, Cadence put an elephant this year because she really likes elephants. It's really fun and a good way to focus a little on what Thanksgiving is all about.
